INSTITUTE FOR HEBRAIC-CHRISTIAN STUDIES

For decades Dr. Richard Booker and his devoted wife Peggy have dedicated their lives to teaching radical Christian discipleship. Their vision of discipleship has also produced outstanding insights into the Hebraic foundations of the Christian faith and the ongoing responsibility of the church to support the international Jewish community and the state of Israel.

Richard and Peggy are a dynamic team of ministry partners who have sacrificed a secure background in business and have contributed their talents and resources to serve God. They have sown enormous time and energy ministering into the lives of others. Perhaps most importantly, they have worked diligently to create strong, loving relationships with members of the Jewish community in their base in Houston, Texas, and around the world, particularly in the state of Israel.

Dr. Booker is a well-respected scholar and a prolific author who has many excellent books to his credit, as well as an abundance of college-level material for courses on the truly committed Christian life. He also developed numerous courses on the Hebraic roots of Christianity and its connection to Israel. All of these have blessed the lives of untold numbers of people around the world who have been impacted by Richard’s down-to-earth style of writing that anyone can receive and incorporate into his own life. Richard is truly gifted at distilling complex theological issues down to the essentials and communicating them in a clear, concise manner.

IHCS Vision

The Institute for Hebraic-Christian Studies (IHCS) is a non-proselytizing Christian Zionist educational organization dedicated to encouraging relationships between Jews and Christians through education, mutual respect, and working together for the common good of both communities. Dr. Richard and Peggy Booker co-founded IHCS in 1997.

Our focus is: 1) Educating Christians in their Judeo-Christian heritage and the history of anti-Semitism, 2) Establishing relationships between Jews and Christians, and 3) Giving comfort to Israel

Vision Statement

While we understand that Jews and Christians have theological differences, we don’t have to agree on theology in order to love one another. And if we cannot love one another, what good is our theology.
