Celebrate Israel
An Evening of Praise and Worship
With Your Favorite Songs of Zion
Starts at 7:30 PM @ West Houston Christian Center
Shalom Haverim (Dear Friends)
Join us on May 4 for our 88th Erev Shabbat teaching and joyous celebration of our wonderful LORD. Our theme is Celebrating Israel with Songs of Zion.
We are truly living in exciting times when the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel, is awakening Christians around the world to their biblical Hebraic roots and a new found love for Israel and the Jewish people.
As a result, many who attend our meetings have asked for a recording of our music for their personal enjoyment. In view of your requests, several years ago we invited our dear friend, Roy Kendall, to come from Jerusalem and lead us in a live recording which we call, Songs of Zion.
This is really an anointed presentation. While Roy will not be with us, our own praise and worship team, which was featured on the CD, will lead us in a special evening of Hebraic praise and worship.
Don’t miss this exciting uplifting evening as we celebrate Israel and the Lord
with some of your favorite Songs of Zion!
Sing unto the Lord a New Song
Whenever God births a new prophetic season, He puts a new song in our heart that represents the “new thing” He is doing.
While we appreciate the “old song” of the Lord that ministered to us in times past, it is the “new song” that stirs our hearts. The “old song” of the Lord represents what God did in the past but the “new song” of the Lord represents what God is doing in the present.
The Old Song and the New Song
Congregations that are still singing the “old song” have either not awakened to the new prophetic season and the new thing God is doing or they have resisted it.
This may explain why their music often does not minister to those who have embraced the new prophetic season of God.
In general, “Passover” music does not minister to people who are at Pentecost and “Pentecost” music does not minister to people who are at Tabernacles.
Because the new prophetic season is Hebraic, the Lord has blessed us with many Psalmistsand song writers who have written wonderful Hebraic praise and worship songs to the Lord. The Lord then tells us to sing the new song.
“Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp” (Psalm 149:1-3).
