{"id":1291,"date":"2016-09-29T12:31:38","date_gmt":"2016-09-29T18:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rbooker.com\/?p=1291"},"modified":"2016-09-29T12:31:38","modified_gmt":"2016-09-29T18:31:38","slug":"bibi-and-the-bible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rbooker.com\/?p=1291","title":{"rendered":"BIBI AND THE BIBLE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>There is hope yet!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new school year has begun in Israel, and Prime Minister Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu had two related messages for students: \u201cstudy the Bible and seek peaceful coexistence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At a cabinet meeting on August 30, 2016, Bibi also told his cabinet that he wants to \u201ccarry out an education revolution based on two things: excellence and Zionism.\u201d Central to achieve that is the study of the Bible, the Prime Minister explained: \u201cFirst of all, the study of the Bible,\u201d Bibi told his ministers. \u201cThis is the basis for why we are here, why we have returned here, why we stay here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Has the Prime Minister been reading Jeremiah 31:10, \u201cHear the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, \u2018He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For Out of Zion Shall Go Forth Torah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Not to be out done, Israel\u2019s Education Minister Naftali Bennett said that the Bible is the most important topic children should learn in school, \u201cEven thought Israel is a high-tech superpower and exporter of knowledge and innovation to the world, we must also be a spiritual superpower and export spiritual knowledge to the world.\u201d He went on to say that Israel\u2019s primary mandate was \u201cto be a light to the nations.\u201d He further said that \u201cIt is not enough to be solely the nation of the startup. We must also be the people of the Bible for out of Zion shall go forth Torah and the word of God from Jerusalem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>While the American government takes God and the Bible out of the schools, Israel is putting God and the Bible in their schools.
