According to the late Iron Lady, saving an Austrian Jewish girl was her proudest moment

Dear Friends:
All of us who love freedom mourn the passing of Margaret Thatcher. She restored Britain to prosperity when Britain was on the verge of economic collapse. Along with President Reagan and Pope John Paul II, she helped bring down the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall. What many may not know is that Margaret Thatcher was a Zionist who helped saved Jewish lives. Perhaps the reason for God’s favor on her can be attributed to Genesis 12:3 where God promises to bless those who bless Israel. I hope you will be blessed by the following article about how Margaret Thatcher and her family helped save the life of an Austrian Jewish girl.
According to the late Iron Lady,
saving an Austrian Jewish girl was her proudest moment
By Adam Chandler, Tablet Magazine, 4/8/2013.
“In 1938, Edith Muhlbauer, a 17-year-old Jewish girl, wrote to Muriel Roberts, Edith’s pen pal and the future prime minister’s [Margaret Thatcher] older sister, asking if the Roberts family might help her escape Hitler’s Austria. The Nazis had begun rounding up the first of Vienna’s Jews after the Anschluss, and Edith and her family worried she might be next. Alfred Roberts, Margaret and Muriel’s father, was a small-town grocer; the family had neither the time nor the money to take Edith in. So Margaret, then 12, and Muriel, 17, set about raising funds and persuading the local Rotary club to help.
Edith stayed with more than a dozen Rotary families, including the Robertses, for the next two years, until she could move to join relatives in South America. Edith bunked in Margaret’s room, and she left an impression. ‘She was 17, tall, beautiful, evidently from a well-to-do family,’ Thatcher later wrote in her memoir. But most important, ‘[s]he told us what it was like to live as a Jew under an anti-Semitic regime. One thing Edith reported particularly stuck in my mind: The Jews, she said, were being made to scrub the streets.’ For Thatcher, who believed in meaningful work, this was as much a waste as it was an outrage. Had the Roberts family not intervened, Edith recalled years later, ‘I would have stayed in Vienna and they would have killed me.’
Thatcher never forgot the lesson: ‘Never hesitate to do whatever you can, for you may save a life,” she told audiences in 1995 after Edith had been located, alive and well, in Brazil.
Throughout Thatcher’s life, this commitment never waned. Divisive as she was, her energetic work to supplant British support for the Arab boycott of Israel, her hectoring of Soviet Union officials about the treatment of Jewish refuseniks, her inclusion of Jewish leaders in her cabinet (to the frustration of some), and her landmark visit to Israel-the first by a sitting British prime minister-will likely keep her as a cherished figure in the collective Jewish memory for a long time to come.”

Did the Jews Kill Jesus?

The following information is taken from my book,
Celebrating Jesus in the Biblical Feasts
which is available from my online bookstore at www.rbooker.com.
Did the Jews Kill Jesus?
Every year at Passover/Easter well-meaning Christian ministers preach that “the Jews Killed Christ.” This erroneous accusation came about because the Church has misunderstood the New Testament as well as its own hatred of Jews. When we study the New Testament within its cultural context, we discover that it tells a different story.
So who really killed Jesus? There is the theological answer and a human answer. Christians are familiar with the theological answer but they misunderstand the human answer. They can both be summed up in two words, “the establishment.” The establishment, the people in power, always kills the prophets and revolutionaries of their day. Jesus was both a prophet and a revolutionary. He threatened their position of power, position and wealth. So they had to get rid of Him.
The first of the two establishment’s responsibility for the death of Jesus was Rome. By Rome, I mean the government of Rome, not the people of Rome. The Roman people had never even heard of Jesus. The Roman people lived in Italy and throughout the Roman Empire. Even though the Roman government in Israel crucified Jesus by the hands of Pilate and a few Roman soldiers, we cannot hold the Roman people responsible for the death of Jesus. Modern Italians did not kill Jesus.
The second human establishment that killed Jesus was Jerusalem. By Jerusalem, I mean the Jewish religious and political leaders in Jerusalem. As a citizen of the United States, I often use the word “Washington” to speak of the political center of the USA. When I say “Washington” I am not referring to the American people but the American government. Likewise, when the New Testament says that the “Jews” killed Jesus, it is not referring to the ordinary Jew who lived in Israel and Jerusalem. It is referring to the Jewish political and religious leaders over the Jewish people, that is, the Jewish government operating under Roman rule.
When the New Testament talks about the Jews killing Jesus, it is referring to the Jewish establishment in Jerusalem who owed their allegiance, position, power and influence to the Romans. While there were some influential Pharisees at the highest level, the Jewish establishment consisted primarily of the Sadducees.
The Sadducees represented a very small group of powerful religious leaders. They were the priests who oversaw the activities at the Temple and greatly profited from the merchandising at the Temple. It is this group that desired to crucify Jesus because they were jealous of His fame and was afraid He would upset their comfortable relationship with the Roman government ruling over them. The high priest and his followers handed Jesus over to Pilate because it was the “politically correct” thing for them to do.
When the high priest had Jesus arrested at night, the ordinary Jerusalemites were in their homes preparing for Passover meals and sleeping. They did not know what was happening. They would have surely protested because many of them believed in Jesus. In fact, Jesus had so many followers in Jerusalem that the Sadducees had to wait until night to arrest Jesus for fear of an uproar by the people.
The high priest did what politicians do today. He rented a crowd. He instructed and coerced his own followers, all with a vested interest in the establishment, to get a crowd and assemble them. This was a completely different crowd of people who earlier greeted and cheered Jesus when He rode into Jerusalem.
When Pilate pretended to absolve himself from being responsible for the death of Jesus, the “rent a crowd” said, “…Let His blood be on us and our children” (Matthew 27:25). Because of this statement, Church leaders have erroneously believed that the Jews, as a collective group of people, pronounced a curse on themselves forever. Therefore, they are the “Christ killers.”
But as we have just learned, this was the Sadducees and a small mob crowd they assembled in order to influence Pilate. There was probably less than one hundred people in this crowd and God judged them all in AD 70. Their self-curse was fulfilled 40 years later when Titus burned the Temple and destroyed Jerusalem. Since the Sadducees were the priests administering the Temple, they and their families and their power, position, privilege and fortune came to an end.
Most Jews did not live in Israel during the time of Jesus. They were scattered throughout the Roman Empire. They had never heard of Jesus so they were certainly not guilty of killing Him. Furthermore, as we have just read, most of the Jews in Jerusalem believed in Jesus, they certainly did not kill Him.
Jesus suffered and died for our sins. God could have used any ethnic group to carry out the execution. In His redemptive plans and purposes and time, it was a petty Roman bureaucrat and a small handful of priests who actually put Jesus to death.
Christians should continuously thank God for His redemptive love demonstrated through the death of Jesus as our Passover Lamb. We should also ask forgiveness from our Jewish friends for blaming them for His death.

When was Jesus Crucified and Resurrected?

The following information is taken from my book,
Celebrating Jesus in the Biblical Feasts
which is available from my online bookstore at www.rbooker.com.
When was Jesus Crucified and Resurrected?
Have you ever wondered how a Friday-to-Sunday crucifixion and resurrection can be possible since the Bible says that Jesus would be in the grave for three days and three nights? Well it is not possible. How did we get this idea? This teaching came about many centuries ago because the early Christian leaders were Gentiles who did not understand the biblical Hebraic-Jewish roots of the story.
For example, when John says that Jesus was crucified on the Preparation Day and that the body of Jesus should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (John 19:31), the scholars assumed John meant the weekly Saturday Sabbath. So in their mind Jesus must have been crucified on Friday. However, the Scripture clearly says that the Sabbath was a “High Sabbath” not the weekly Sabbath. We learn in Leviticus 23 that there was a number of “High Sabbath” days connected to the feasts that were not the weekly Sabbath.
Jesus told His disciples that He would be crucified on Passover to fulfill the sign of Jonah (Matthew 12:40; 26:2). Matthew reads, “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth: (Matthew 12:40).
Jesus said three days and three nights. Whenever the Bible connects days and nights with the word “and,” it means the full 24-hour period. So three days and three nights mean a 72-hour period of time. The only way that Jesus could be in the tomb for the required full three days and three nights (a 72-hour period) and fulfill the witness of the Torah is if He was crucified on Wednesday and resurrected at the close of the weekly Sabbath (at night) and the beginning of the first day of the week, the Feast of First Fruits. Yes, Jesus was resurrected at night (See John 20:1).
Without going into all the details, Jesus was crucified on Passover, Wednesday, April 3, AD 30, buried at approximately 6:00 pm at Unleavened Bread (Thursday-Friday-Saturday), and resurrected at night at the close of Shabbat (April 6) and the beginning of First Fruits (April 7), which was the first day of the week.
Have a blessed Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits Resurrection of our Lord.

ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ

Dear Readers:
The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodriguez and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan. 15, 2008. The article certainly puts the most important issue of our day in perspective. It is particularly noteworthy considering it is a Spanish newspaper (remember the Inquisition). Will the U.S. follow Europe in their folly?
ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ
By Sebastian Vilar Rodriguez
I walked down the street in Barcelona , and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz … We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.
The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned.
And under the pretence of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.
They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts. And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition.
We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs. What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

The Jews are NOT promoting brain washing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non Muslims.
The Jews don’t hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. There is NOT one single Jew who has
destroyed a church. There is NOT a single Jew who protests by killing people.
The Jews don’t traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels. Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems.
Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they demand that humankind respects them.
Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel ‘s part, the following two sentences really say it all:
“If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence.
If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.”
Benjamin Netanyahu
General Eisenhower warned us it is a matter of history that when the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.
He did this because he said in words to this effect:
‘Get it all on record now – get the films – get the witnesses because somewhere down the road of history someone will get up and say that this never happened’
Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school
curriculum because it ‘offends’ the Muslim population which claims it never
occurred. It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of
the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.
It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.
This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the 6 million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians, and 1,900 Catholic priests who were ‘murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated’ while the German people looked the other way.
Now, more than ever, with Iran , among others, claiming the Holocaust to be ‘a myth,’ it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.
How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Centre ‘NEVER HAPPENED’ because it offends some Muslim in the United States?

Happy Purim everyone

This is the week when Jewish people from around the world celebrate the Fast of Esther and the holiday of Purim. Bible readers know this story from the book of Esther where Esther, (Hadassah is her Hebrew name) interceded before the king to spare the lives of her people. God gave Esther favor with the king and the Jews defeated their enemies.
While Christians think of Purim as a holiday for Jews, it is a special day Christians should also celebrate.
We read the decree in the book of Esther, “The Jews resolved and took upon themselves, their descendants and all who might join them that without fail, they would observe these two days in accordance with what was written in [this letter] and at the appointed time, every year; and that these days would be remembered and observed throughout every generation, every family, every province and every city; and that these days of Purim would never cease among the Jews or their memory be lost by their descendants” (Esther 9:27-28, Complete Jewish Bible).
Notice that the Scripture says, “all who might join them.” Millions of Christians around the world are realizing this part of the Scripture is talking about them.
Without Esther’s intercession, the Jews would have been destroyed, God’s covenant would have come to an end and there would be no Messiah. Since this was part of Jewish history, Jesus celebrated Purim as we learn in John 5:1. Since Jesus celebrated Purim, shouldn’t His followers do the same.
Christians should join with the Jewish people in celebrating Esther’s intercession and the victory of the Jewish people over Haman. There are many Haman’s in our world today. Christians can have the “Esther ministry” of intercession for the Jewish people while celebrating their historic victory as recorded in the book of Esther.
Christians – read the book of Esther, cheer Mordecai, boo Haman, ooh and aah Esther, sound your groggers and pray for God to give Israel victory over the Haman’s of the world who want to destroy her.
Happy Purim everyone.

Likud leads, but rise of Yesh Atid, Jewish Home bode bumpy road ahead for Netanyahu

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding (Daniel 2:20-21).
Likud leads, but rise of Yesh Atid,
Jewish Home bode bumpy road ahead for Netanyahu
Ben Sales – Kansas City Jewish Chronicle
AVIV (JTA) – His party shrunk, his opponents grew and his challengers multiplied.
But with the results in, it seems Benjamin Netanyahu survived the Knesset elections on Jan. 22 to serve another term as prime minister.
Netanyahu faces a bumpy road ahead. His Likud party, together with the nationalist Yisrael Beiteinu, fell to 31 seats in the voting from its current representation of 42.
The biggest surprise of the election was the ascendance of former TV personality Yair Lapid’s centrist Yesh Atid party. Founded just a year ago, Yesh Atid won 19 seats on a platform of national service and pro-middle class economic reform. Likud’s traditional rival, the center-left Labor, grew to 15 from eight seats promoting progressive economic policy.
And another political newcomer, Naftali Bennett, is likely to push Netanyahu to the right on security issues. His Jewish Home party, a successor to the National Religious Party, increased its representation from three to 11 seats.
Together with the Sephardic Orthodox Shas party and the haredi Orthodox United Torah Judaism, the right-wing Knesset bloc will hold 60 of the Knesset’s 120 seats — exactly half.
That’s anything but a mandate for Netanyahu, who campaigned on the slogan “A strong prime minister, a strong Israel.” Instead of being able to lead a new coalition with a large party behind him, Netanyahu will have to negotiate with rivals and forge compromises with opposing camps.
Judging from the successes of Yesh Atid, Labor and Jewish Home, Israelis cast a resounding vote for progressive economic reform and new leaders in their parliament.
The biggest thorn in the prime minister’s side looks to be Lapid. Unlike the fiscally conservative Netanyahu, Lapid won support by calling for housing reform, opposing tax increases for the middle class and including haredi yeshiva students in Israel’s mandatory military conscription.
But Netanyahu’s biggest concern may be a rival in his own right-wing camp, Bennett, who appears to have picked up most of the seats lost by Likud-Beiteinu.
While Netanyahu remains ambiguous on the question of a Palestinian state — he formally endorsed the idea in a 2009 speech at Bar-Ilan University but has hardly mentioned it since or done much to promote it — Bennett passionately opposes the idea. Instead, Bennett, a former high-tech entrepreneur, calls for annexing much of the West Bank.
Even within Netanyahu’s party, nationalists on the Likud list who never before made it into the Knesset will now occupy seats. Among them is Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Jewish Leadership faction of Likud, who favors West Bank annexation and encouraging Arabs who hold Israeli citizenship to leave Israel.
The rise of Yesh Atid and Jewish Home do offer Netanyahu some new opportunities, too. Rather than rely on the haredi Orthodox parties such as Shas and United Torah Judaism for the coalition, Netanyahu could make common cause with Yesh Atid and Jewish Home, both of which want to draft haredi Israelis into the army or some form of national service — even though they may significantly disagree on security matters. Lapid talked during the campaign of his willingness to join a Netanyahu coalition, influencing the government from within rather than from the opposition.
So even though the haredi parties grew by two seats — Shas stayed at 11 seats and United Torah Judaism went from five to seven, according to exit polls — Lapid’s willingness to provide Netanyahu with a larger chunk of seats to build his coalition means that the haredi parties may have lost their political leverage to keep yeshiva students out of Israel’s military draft.
For its part, Labor looks destined to lead the Knesset’s opposition; its chairwoman, Shelly Yachimovich, has vowed not to join a Netanyahu coalition. Tzipi Livni’s new Hatnua party, which won just six seats, is likely to stay in the opposition, too.
The election represented a major defeat for Livni, who in the last election led the Kadima party to 28 seats — more than any other party. This time, the eviscerated Kadima scraped by with the minimum two seats.
Hatnua’s poor showing also suggested how little of the election was about negotiations with the Palestinians. Livni made much of the issue during the campaign, but it clearly failed to resonate with voters. Hatnua’s six seats equaled the showing of Meretz, the solidly left-wing party. By contrast, Labor, traditionally a promoter of peace talks, barely raised the issue in the campaign. Instead it focused on socioeconomic issues and made significant Knesset gains.
With Election Day over, the coalition building begins: To win another term as prime minister, Netanyahu now must cobble together an alliance of at least 61 Knesset members to form Israel’s next government. Who he chooses — and who agrees to join him — will determine a great deal about the course charted in the years to come by the Israeli government.
ELECTION RESULTS:
Likud-Yisrael Beiteinu: 31
Yesh Atid: 19
Labor: 15
Shas: 11
Jewish Home: 11
United Torah Judaism: 7
Meretz: 6
Hatnua: 6
Raam-Taal: 5
Hadash: 4
Balad: 3
Kadima: 2

A World Without America

I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, languages and nations should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed (Daniel 7:13-14).
A World Without America
Jewish World Review
By Frank J. Gaffney Jr.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly declared that “a world without America is not only desirable, it is achievable.” While that sentiment won’t be embraced in President Obama’s inaugural address next week, all other things being equal, it seems likely to be the practical effect of his second term.
Of course, Iran’s regime seeks a world literally without America. More to the point, Ahmadinejad and the mullahs in Tehran are working tirelessly to secure the means by which to accomplish that goal. Specifically, they have or are developing the ability to engage in devastating electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attacks, biological warfare and other asymmetric terrorist strikes.
For his part, Barack Obama seems to have in mind bringing about a world without America in a geo-strategic sense. As Mark Steyn notes in a characteristically brilliant essay in Jewish World review (JWR), that would be “Obamacare’s other shoe.” It would amount to a “fundamental transformation” of America’s place in the world, evidently intended to be the President’s second-act counterpart to the socialist transformation of this country that dominated his first term.
That agenda is strongly evident in Mr. Obama’s choices for key national security cabinet positions: John Kerry at the State Department, Chuck Hagel at Defense and John Brennan at the CIA. The three are, like the President, imbued with a post-American, post-sovereignty, post-constitutional, transnationalist outlook. In his administration, it would appear that their mission would be, as the American Enterprise Institute’s Danielle Pletka puts it, to manage the United States’ decline.

Obama’s Narcissistic Chutzpah

“For behold in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations. They have also divided up My land”
(Joel 3:1-2).
Obama’s Narcissistic Chutzpah
By RON JAGER—
The Talmud states; “We don’t see things the way they are. We see things the way we are.” Obama is a popular President, no doubt about that, being re-elected fair and square despite getting an F in almost every sphere of decision making associated with his administration. Obama is also a classical narcissistic personality type, vividly expressed by his latest foray meddling in Israel’s coming election. Hiding behind his newest court Jew, Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, Obama has been unable to contain his rage and need to get even with Netanyahu. Obama’s assumption that he knows better than Netanyahu, better than Israel’s Knesset, and better than Israel’s voters is very much symptomatic of narcissistic types who generally exaggerate their own importance, achievements and talents. Obama’s tendency to setting goals that are unrealistic and wanting “the best” of everything is also typical of narcissistic types and reflects much of what’s gone wrong with Obama’s Middle East policies.
Three days before Israel’s elections final polls published today will provide little comfort to President Obama. All the surveys of opinion before this Tuesday’s vote point in one direction: Netanyahu will win and win big time. That’s a bitter pill for Obama to swallow, believing as Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg reported last week, that the President knows what is in Israel’s “best interests” better than Netanyahu. It’s not so surprising that Obama has shown rigid reluctance to get tuff with Iran, or get tuff with Syria, or get tuff with Islamists throughout the Middle East, yet has no gumptions about getting tuff with Netanyahu. What is it that Netanyahu has done to tick off Obama exposing his generally hidden narcissistic anger and rage.
It just may be that a second term Obama is still eager for a confrontation and to get even with Netanyahu after Obama’s humiliation in May 2011. At the time the Israeli Prime Minister was invited to speak before both Houses of Congress, demonstrating brilliantly to Obama the consequences of picking a fight with a popular ally. At that time, Obama ambushed a visiting Netanyahu with a speech demanding that Israeli accept the 1967 lines as a starting point in future peace negotiations. Netanyahu convincingly rejected Obama’s demands, publicly rejecting the Presidential dictate, only to be followed by a standing ovation that Netanyahu received when he addressed Congress. Netanyahu showed that both Democrats and Republicans were united in backing Israel’s position and rejected Obama’s demand concerning the 1967 lines being a starting point in future peace negotiations. This was the last major fight picked with Israel by Obama over the peace process. In the ensuing months he launched a Jewish charm offensive with an eye on the 2012 presidential election. Obama, the narcissist that he is, hasn’t forgotten, and hasn’t forgiven. Interfering in Israel’s elections and attempting to spoil Netanyahu’s re-election chances is simply payback with more to follow.
The following is probably the expected scenario in the period following Israel’s election and the expected re-election of Netanyahu; Obama will be telling associates he does not believe a word that comes out of Netanyahu’s mouth. Obama will state that does not trust Netanyahu and does not consider him an ally – someone he can move things forward with. Obama will claim that Netanyahu will not look out for Israel’s interests and will cause the international community to view Israel as a pariah state. Those who are familiar with Obama’s analysis of the Middle East know that he has long since claimed that without a two-state solution Israel will not be able to preserve a Jewish majority. He has said this in the past, also publicly. Now he is calling the one who is to blame by name: Netanyahu. The president of the United States will want to save Israel from its leadership. After being burned over the past four years in his dealings with Netanyahu, the president will be pointing a finger at the person who started the fire. Obama will be taking on help to keep up the pressure on Netanyahu.
Much has been written in recent weeks about Obama’s nominee’s for the three most important cabinet positions; Hagel for Defense, Kerry for State, and Brenner to head the CIA. All three nominees’ are long term critics of Israel, and overly understanding of the Islamic world, never ever expecting any level of accountability from Islamic leaders, sound familiar? Obama will not be wasting his precious time or his personal prestige during his second term on the Arab-Israeli conflict. Obama will not come out publicly against Netanyahu. Obama will send these three men, Hagel, Brennan and Kerry, to make sure that Netanyahu does not sleep quietly at night. They will sustain Obama’s narcissistic rage towards Netanyahu every day and at every opportunity.
The United States and Israel do not have a symmetrical relationship, however, Obama and his three nominees would be mistaken to assume that Israel has no options other than to capitulate to Obama and his dictates. The political, cultural and yes religious alliance between the United States and Israel is getting stronger especially during the past four years of the Obama administration to his chagrin and frustration. This bilateral relationship is now so fully embedded and integrated into the infrastructure of the U.S. defense establishment and in her foreign policy as to be virtually indestructible. Obama who is at best ambivalent about Israel and determined to create daylight between the two countries will learn, despite his pathological narcissistic belief that he knows what’s best for Israel, that not even Obama or his three expected nominees will be able to downgrade the alliance between the United States and the State of Israel.
